I believe the author is very content with his decision to take "the road not taken". I think he's content because he was able to see and experience something different. He was able to take a chance and experience something no one else had. He had the opportunity to inform others of what he had seen. In one part of the text, Frost says "I doubted if I should ever come back", and that makes me believe that he was so satisfied with his decision that he didn't want to go back to take the road that was taken.
