Since the author has stated, "I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference," I feel that the author is content with his decision. It was a choice that probably led him into the unknown, where he hasn't been before, but at the same time allowed him to face new, exciting, and challenging things that has helped him become the person he is today. In life it's never easy to do something alone, but that's where you grow the most as a person and get to know yourself.
The title "The Road Not Taken" is used because the author is reflecting on the road he chose not to take vs. the one he did. Even though the other road may have been easier for him, he chose to take the one that was right for him.
